Over the past year, Souphanouvong University (SU) has implemented the REAL (2025 – 2028) project, with the main support of the European Union, which aims to improve internal quality assurance and implement outcome-based education. Under the project, a total of 9 undergraduate majors from the National Universities of Laos, Savannakhet University, Champasak University, and Souphanouvong University.
Souphanouvong University participated in the project, with 4 majors: English, Tourism and Hospitality, Electrical Engineering, and Veterinary Medicine. One of the tasks of the project is to ensure the relevance of the curriculum and the labor market needs in terms of skills and knowledge of graduates from these majors. Therefore, professors and project experts conducted a study to research the skills and knowledge requirements in all 4 majors by surveying the opinions of students, professors, alumni, and employers nationwide to determine the characteristics of students (Graduate Profile) who graduate from those 4 majors.
